Unlike earlier, where it was not that difficult to crack MBA entrance tests, nowadays, best MBA colleges in India conduct group discussion so that best students only can be qualified for the final round.

Enlisted are the five imperative things that should be taken into account prior to going to a group discussion.

1.    Fear
On a foremost note, don’t panic.  Many students freeze, when it comes to public speaking. It’s all because of the way you think and react to a particular situation. You’ll have to speak publicly in GD round, so prepare yourself to be an effectively speaker, rather than thinking that will you are able to do it or not. You can do it only when you will be able to overcome any unexplained fear or anxiety.

2.    Negative Thinking
If you want to leave a good impression in group discussion session, you should never abandon your negative thoughts and negative projections. For this, stop underestimating your capabilities by comparing it with others. In a GD, you should be familiar about current affairs to connect and have a say in what has been asked.

3.    Anxiety
You should be super sure about things that you’ll be saying on a given topic. Don’t speak on rough edges. Conquer anxiety by introducing yourself to an imaginary panel. Speak aloud in front of mirror to observe the way you talk. Do it religiously for fifteen to twenty minutes on a daily basis. It will help you in long run and you’ll eventually become a good speaker.

4.    Overconfidence
It has been seen that there are many students, who when qualify their MBA entrance with good percentage, think that they are on the top of the world and will easily clear their GD, as their entrance. But mind it that overconfidence opens the pit to destruction. Don’t be overconfident. Top management institutes prefer giving admission to those candidates who have good knowledge of economy, political awareness social problems, with equal measure.

At last, prior attending the GD round, you should religiously work upon these and once you conquer these things, you are likely to score good score in Group discussion.
